BUILDING PERMIT SYSTEM



Permitting is a neccessity but oh can permitting be a nusance to starting a job.

There are a few permitting services available on the web but they are all attempting to have the municipality conform to their standards. We admit that standardizing permits would make their job much easier. We have found that it will be impossible for all governing municipalities to conform to one standard. We therfore do not attempt to strive for uniformity. We research and discuss all permitting requirements for each municipality individually. We have developed a software package which understands each municipalities requirements. This is a lengthy process and requires hours of research and negotiations. We are dedicated to bringing all permitting online. If the municipality you're interested in is not listed in our system continue to check. We are adding more and more as time goes by. Step 1
Submitting a permit first requires you to download our software and install it on your machine. When available you will be able to download our PREMITFIRST program from this page.

PERMITFIRST installation instructions

The file will be downloaded to the directory of your choice. Using Windows Explorer bring up the appropriate directory and Click on PERMITFIRST.exe and follow the prompts.

Step 2
From our web page, input the municipality or zip code of the job location.

Step 3
Now download the script specifically developed for that municipality. When available you will be able to try out PERMITFIRST by downloading from this page.

Script Installation Instructions

The file will be downloaded to the directory of your choice. Using Windows Explorer bring up the appropriate directory and Click on file starting with PermitScript. The demo file is named PermitScriptDemo.exe. Follow the installation prompts.

Step 4
Start our software, select the appropriate municipality, and follow the prompts. PERMITFIRST will not let you make a mistake.

Step 5
Once completed make sure you are connected to the internet then click on submit You will be prompted for payment methods. Fees for on line permitting depend on the job and the mucipality. EPC Server's fee is projected to be very reasonable. Your permit will be sent electronically as well as required fees by EPC Server

You will recieve an E-Mail notification when the permit is available. Use our software to view and print the permit for posting. All inspection requirements will be provided as well. If there is a problem with your permit, an E-Mail will be sent asking for clarifications or additional information. You can view the status of your permit through our software as well.

Note that after submitting one permit, only steps 4 and 5 are required to submit another permit to the same municipality. If you want to submit a permit to another municipality, simply download the script for that town or county.

We are asked why we provide a software package for this service rather than develop it as a web application. Efficiency is the reason. Waiting for web pages to load, one after another leaves us cold. Remember, the focus of our company is to make you more efficient.
