Preprocessor Input - Execution on EPC Server Servers - Post Processor View and Save Output FAQ

In this case a user develops an input file on a preprocessor which he has downloaded form the EPC Server site. The preprocessor contains a Web Page for input and sending the file to EPC Server where execution takes place on an active server page. EPC Server then sends the output file back to the user for viewing and saving in HTML format. The preprocessor can be used for graphical representation during the model preparation and output viewing.

There are two programs required for this process

  • A Preprocessor/PostProcessor Program
  • An ASP file on our servers

    Now let us discuss the PreProcessor/PostProcessor

    The Preprocessor Program serves the following functions

  • It provides a login for the user
  • It provides the interface for developing all data required for the input file
  • It provides a means to save the input data
  • It provides an interface to send the input data to EPC Server requesting the Results ASP page
  • It provides a prompt on the fee required to run the application
  • It provides a web page interface to recieve the output file.
  • It provides an interface to save, and print the output file.
  • It provides information back to EPC Server on output file reciept for invoicing purposes.

    The Results ASP page is placed on EPC Servers web site.

  • The data is aquired and output variables are calculated on an ASP server
  • The output document first prints the user selected header or if none is selected the Standard EPC header is presented
  • A Title is included
  • A graphic file if required to pictorially show inputs required. This graphic file should reside with the preprocessor.
  • Inputs are shown
  • Calculational Methods, Formulas, and/or references are shown.
  • OutPut is presented
  • No standard footer is applied
    If EPC Server selects your software for our site we will assist you in the development of the pre & post processor as well as the ASP web page. This development may take some time so you need to be patient with our staff. We will offer a proposed schedule and you need to be dilligent in responding to any and all of our questions. You will be responsible for testing and qualification of the program.
