OPEN WEB STEEL JOIST - K SERIES EXTENDED ENDS

Joist extensions can be supplied to support several overhang conditions. The two types are pictured above. The S TYPE, has only the top chord angles extended. The R TYPE has the standard 2-1/2 inch end bearing depth maintained over the entire length of the extension. The “S” TYPE is more economical.

Stronger joists permit a longer extension. Select the length of the desired extension and the uniform load for the joist. Qualified extensions will be presented in the output.
